This event was our first use of a retreat called Double Bear in the Santa Cruz hills near Bear Creek. This private patch of ground had several yurt stractures... one for meals, another for activities, and a couple others for sleeping. We had group leaders who offered a variety of workshops involving body movement and connection, plus some simple fun stuff.

video-37 8:02 The next morning we start another body-movement workshop, somewhat based on martial arts principles.
video-38 6:46 Exploring the range of motion of your body is the beginning of the edge of balance awareness.
video-39 9:15 Now partners can try a simple push to study where one should move to with least effort.
video-40 8:42 Lots of pushing and pulling. Can you move to keep your own perfect balance?
video-41 8:41 A last chance to synthesize everything we've learned as the workshop comes to a close.
video-42 5:50 Time to take a group shot photo, a process with much drama. Then on to hula-hooping fun.
video-43 7:56 Everything is happening all at once. Bodypainting, skipping, and preparing for a suspension act.
video-44 4:53 Finally the suspension silk is safely tied to the tree and Leah performs amazingly.
video-45 7:10 A unique performance by Anomaly while suspended by a silk cloth. Bodypainting continues with an extra level of fun.
video-46 5:10 Our last evening... here we have some shadow-box fun! Only 2 more videos from Bodyfest 2011 coming!
video-47 8:08 Our fire-spinning dancers are back one last time this evening.
video-48 13:40 Before we leave our retreat camp we have one last event... a "cuddle puddle". This is the only video we shot this time.
